About Keith and the Foundation
The Keith Edmonds Foundation is a non-profit organization created to empower and assist children who have become victims of child abuse and neglect, as well as adult survivors of child abuse.
Keith Edmonds is not a victim of child abuse. He is a survivor. Through suffering horrific burns as a baby at the hands of his mother’s boyfriend left visible scars across his face, it’s a face that shines with optimism and positive energy as he talks. To speak with Keith is to come face to face with both the abuse that too many children are forced to suffer and to feel empowered not in spite of that trauma, but through it.
The Keith Edmonds Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization started in 2016. He has spoken at numerous elementary, middle, and high schools; universities; churches; fundraisers to benefit children; and substance abuse programs throughout the country.
Currently the organization runs two programs benefiting children of abuse – Backpacks of Love, which provides necessities for kids of all ages entering the court system; and Camp Confidence, which focuses on building self-esteem and self-worth.
Keith has hosted Keith Kares, a series of events spanning two years benefitting local non-profits, published his first book – About a Baby, and is currently writing his second.
